Now go under Control Panel | Network and Sharing Center | Change Adapter Settings and right-click VMnet1 to bring up its Properties. Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) – unless you intend on using IPv6 - then double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and (if not already set) statically assign IP address 172.16.1.1 and 255.255.255.0 as the subnet mask. Click OK twice to complete this.

Under VMware, right-click the VIRL server’s tab and choose Settings…

Now change Network Adapter 2 to use VMnet1 (Host-only) interface, as shown below, then click OK.
